The Department of Juvenile Justice confirmed Friday that the new provider, Sequel Youth and Family Services, has officially taken over the Palm Beach Juvenile Correctional Facility.
Sequel is replacing Youth Services International which terminated its contract early.
The Palm Beach Juvenile Correctional Facility has been at the center of harsh allegations after teens have been injured or hurt while at the facility.
On at least one occasion, two guards were fired for allowing teens to fight.
