A Palm Beach County mother was jailed after a 13-year-old was pulled over for speeding in a school zone, according to the sheriff’s office.
A deputy stopped the vehicle Monday near Melaleuca Lane and Haverhill Road.
When he asked the driver for her license she said she was 13 and didn’t have one, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Sitting in the passenger seat was 39-year-old Ana Rosa Garcia Perez.
The deputy took Garcia Perez into custody and charged her with child abuse.
