A man arguing with a woman crashed his car and then tried to get away by carjacking two other vehicles, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The couple was westbound on Okeechobee Boulevard when their car struck an SUV near Biscayne Boulevard in suburban West Palm Beach, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver got out of his car and when he was unsuccessful trying to carjack a black car he then tried to get away in a flatbed truck, according to the sheriff’s office.

By then deputies and an off-duty federal officer were able to arrest the suspect.

The sheriff's office identified him as Javin Jackson, 34, of West Palm Beach.

He faces several charges including attempted carjacking and battery on a law enforcement officer.
