A Loxahatchee man was in court Monday to face charges that he threw gasoline on a teenager and fired a flare at him.
Detectives said the suspect, Timothy Payne, 55, threw gas on a teen Sunday outside of a Dunkin' Donuts on Southern Boulevard, fired a flare and left the scene.
The teen was hospitalized with serious burns from the incident.
Detectives arrested Payne in connection with the attack.
He's being held without bond on several charges including attempted homicide, arson and aggravated assault with a weapon.
