The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for The Special Olympics took place Wednesday morning.
The run began at the northwest corner of Hypoluxo Road and Dixie Highway in Lantana.
Participants were scheduled to jog to the Royal Palm School for a meet and greet with students and Special Olympic athletes.
Officers from several Palm Beach County police agencies, along members of the sheriff's office, took part in the event.
The annual Torch Run is designed to help raise money as well as increase awareness of the Special Olympics.
