LANTANA, Fla. -- A person was rescued from a house fire in Lantana early Saturday morning.
At 12:30 a.m. crews responded to the first near 12th Street and Drew Street.
Firefighters quickly entered the home and performed search-and-rescue and fire attack operations.
One person was rescued from the home and transported to a local trauma hospital.
A firefighter was also treated at a local hospital. One dog and one cat died in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
