LANTANA, Fla. — One person was taken to the hospital on Thursday after a fire broke out on a boat in Lantana.
Palm Beach Fire Rescue said crews responded to the Loggerhead Marina, located in the 700 block of N. Federal Hwy., around 11:15 a.m.
Firefighters found a 32-foot cabin cruiser with a fire in the inboard engine compartment. They quickly got the flames under control and extinguished them.
Fire Rescue officials said four people were on the boat when the fire broke out. An adult man was taken to a local trauma hospital after suffering burns. Three other patients were treated at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
