Three people will be laid to rest following a boating accident in Martin County.

The funeral for Fernandez Jones, Jaden Jones and Willis Bell was held Saturday morning at Trinity Church International on Military Trail in Lake Worth.

Reverend Vernon Shazier presided over the event, and was also friends with Fernandez Jones.

He said he's been meeting with the family every day since the accident that happened in early April.

The tragic accident has not been easy for the family. Willis was Fernandez' step-father and Jaden was Fernandez' son.

"You have a mother who lost her husband, son and grandson. You have a wife who's lost her husband and son. They've been doing the best they can and friends and family around them have been giving them support."

The reverend said he's been helping the family cope with prayer, but added it's been a "progressive journey."

"In the beginning, you hope that you're in a dream, but as the days go forward you realize that it's not a dream, that it's a reality," the reverend said.

The three loved being on the water, which is where they lost their lives while on a Sunday morning fishing trip.

The family will be buried at Palm Beach Memorial Park in Lantana.
