LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — State inspectors temporarily shut down a Lake Worth Beach restaurant earlier this month.
On May 7, inspectors found 32 dead roaches and 17 live roaches inside Le Bon Gout Restaurant located at 1230 South Dixie Highway. The report says 10 of the live roaches were spotted on a wall next to a case of plantains.
Approximately 20 fresh dropping were found under a shelve in dry storage, and about 10 fresh droppings on food containers in a dry storage area.
There were also live small flying insects found at the restaurant.
Inspectors said in their report there were more then 10 flying insects near a reach-in freezer and dry storage shelves that had closed food. Also, there were more the 40 flies on dirty pots, a bucket with a whipping cloth and trash outside next to a door to the kitchen.
The restaurant has re-opened.
