Biking and pedestrian safety will be the focus of an event being held Thursday in Palm Springs.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is teaming up with the Palm Springs Police Department to educate the public about biking and pedestrian safety.
This year in Florida there’s been 107 pedestrian and 23 bicycle deaths. Palm Beach County made the list of counties with the most crashes.
Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow is a campaign started in 2011 by FDOT. March is also Florida Bike Month.
On Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. officials will be handing out information along Lake Worth Road and at the Lake Worth Swap Shop, located 3438 Lake Worth Rd.
