Apartment fire extinguished in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- Crews from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) extinguished a fire in a 2-story apartment building in Lake Worth.

PBCFR says arriving firefighters reported seeing heavy smoke showing from under the eaves of the building.

Two apartments were affected by a kitchen fire in one of the upstairs units. There were no injuries reported.

All occupants of the building were allowed to re-enter, except the residents from the two apartments affected by the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting 6 people as a result of the blaze.
