Six people were rescued from a sinking boat about a mile east of Lake Worth Monday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
They needed help because their 20-foot boat was taking on water.
The Coast Guard arrived by boat and says it transported them to Currie Park in good condition.
TowBoatUS was called to salvage the sinking vessel.
"The Coast Guard was notified by the towboat [crew] of the situation and immediately recognized the potential the situation may worsen. The timely response of towboat and the Coast Guard were instrumental to ensuring all six individuals returned safely to port," Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator Lt. Cmdr. Andrea Parker said in a news release.
