Lake Worth man convicted of DUI manslaughter in 2017 wreck that killed teen

A Lake Worth man has been convicted in a deadly crash into an alligator-infested canal that claimed the life of a teenager.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said that back on Sept. 24, 2017, 46-year-old Antonio Sanchez failed to stop at an intersection on NW First Street near NW First Avenue, struck a metal guardrail, and drove into a canal.

A passenger in the Ford F-350 truck, 19-year-old Wilson Granajo, died in the wreck.

Sanchez has been convicted of DUI manslaughter, driving without a license, and driving on a suspended license causing death.

He was sentenced to 18 months in state prison, 10 years probation, and 100 hours of community service.
