An overnight wreck in Greenacres sent a driver to the hospital after he crashed into a vehicle that was performing road work.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a driver was traveling northbound on Jog Road in the left inside lane, approaching the entrance to Timberlane Circle.
Road crews were working in the area and had the middle and far right lanes closed to resurface the roadway.
PBSO said a safety worker attempted to slow down the driven as he approached a front-end loader that was working on the road.
The right front portion of the driver's vehicle struck the right rear stabilizer arm/tire of the front-end loader.
Greenacres Fire Rescue extricated the driver of the vehicle that hit the front-end loader. The victim was transported to Delray Community Hospital in stable condition.
The driver's name has not been released.
