GREENACRES, Fla. — A 2-year-old boy drowned in a canal at the Island Shores community Wednesday afternoon, Greenacres Fire Rescue confirmed with WPTV.
Neighbors called 911 at around 4 p.m. after they found the child in a canal.
Fire Rescue units began lifesaving measures and took the toddler to Wellington Regional Hospital, but he tragically passed away.
