A 78-year-old woman was killed in a crash Saturday morning in suburban West Palm Beach.
According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report, Matilde Sousa was driving a 2000 Honda CRV eastbound in the 2300 block of South Dr. within the Century Village development at 8:38 a.m.
Her vehicle veered off the road for unknown reasons and struck a tree head on.
The front of the vehicle was damaged due to the collision.
Fire Rescue removed Sousa and transported her to St. Mary’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
