The Palm Beach County school district announced a change this week that will affect parents and students this fall.
For the 2016-2017 school year, the standard middle school schedule will change from 9:10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.to 4:05 p.m.
The district is trying to eliminate major bus transportation that plagued schools last fall.
Officials said the change will also help ensure students arrive to school in time to participate in the district’s free breakfast program.
This new schedule will affect all of the county's middle schools except for the following schools:
- Bak Middle School of the Arts
- Conniston Middle school
- Lakeshore Middle School
- Okeeheelee Middle School
- Pahokee Middle School
- Roosevelt Middle School
