WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County needs your help as the deadline for backpack and school supplies quickly approaches on July 20.

Due to the coronavirus, it has been a challenge to pick up school supplies from traditional drop locations, but this issue could actually make donating easier than ever.

The school drive has been updated to a virtual drive.

Visit the School Supply & Backpack Drive website to shop and buy items that will be sent to Boys and Girls clubs across Palm Beach County.

The goal is to make sure all club members receive a backpack full of necessary school supplies for the reopening of schools.

"Due to COVID-19, there is a lot of need in our community. A donation for a child to receive the supplies that they need to learn is a direct investment in their well being and future," said Jaene Miranda, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County President & CEO.

Some suggested supplies to purchase that are in great demand include backpacks, composition notebooks and spiral notebooks.
