South Florida blood banks are asking for extra donations as Hermine hits the Florida Gulf Coast.

OneBlood is asking people in South Florida to come in and donate and help keep enough blood in stock during the storm.

Major weather events can disrupt blood collection for days. Some of OneBlood's northern locations are already shutting down for the storm.

OneBlood has locations across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.

The Big Red Bus, OneBlood's mobile donation center, will also be making stops across South Florida this weekend.

The donation bus will be at the Palm Beach Outlets Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.
