An Atlas 5 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Friday morning created a spectacular sight in the skies from the Treasure Coast to Palm Beach County.

The rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral at 6:28 a.m. with a Morelos-3 communications satellite for Mexico.
Just before 6:30 a.m., Chopper 5 was hovering over Palm Beach County when it spotted a beautiful fireball in the sky during WPTV's morning newscast.
NewChannel 5 received dozens of pictures from viewers who spotted the glowing light and trails as the rocket headed into space.
A rocket launch from the Cape on Sept. 2 created a similar sight across South Florida skies.
