A 79-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Jog Road in suburban West Palm Beach.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a 2014 Toyota pickup truck was traveling northbound at 11:32 a.m. on Jog Road in the inside lane near Meathe Drive.
A 2014 Honda driven by Emilia Filipone of Greenacres was heading westbound, near the entrance/exit of Home Depot, approaching Jog Road.
PBSO said the intersection was controlled by stop signs on Meathe Drive and the entrance/exit of Home Depot.
Filipone entered the intersection to make a left turn onto Jog Road and drove into the path of the Toyota, violating the pickup truck's right-of-way.
The front of the truck hit the driver's side of Filipone’s car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
