JUNO BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is investigating after a mutilated hammerhead shark, missing its fin and tail, was found washed ashore on Juno Beach in Palm Beach County on March 15.

A $1,000 reward is being offered through the Wildlife Alert Program for information that leads to an arrest. Those with any information can call the Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-3922.

Harvesting great hammerhead sharks in Florida state waters is prohibited.
