Trump: 'I am the least racist person'

Republican front-runner for president in 2016, Donald Trump, sat down Wednesday afternoon with CNN's Don Lemon to discuss his threat to run as an independent candidate and his recent controversial anti-Muslim immigration policy proposal.

During the interview, Trump, responding to widespread accusations that he is a xenophobic, racist bigot, tells Lemon he is, in fact, "the least racist person." 

"I am the least racist person that you have ever met," Trump emphatically told the network host.

Earlier this week, the billionaire real estate mogul who's leading GOP polls called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States" in a press release posted to his campaign's website. The remarks were met with strong disapproval from the GOP and other Republican candidates for president.
