BOCA RATON, Fla. — Authorities are investigating after a woman's body was found in the ocean about 2 miles off the coast of Boca Raton Tuesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m., a boater reported the body in the water east of 2500 N Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton police said.

Police responded to the scene, with the dive team recovering the woman’s body in the water, authorities said. The woman is described as being white, between the age of 40 and 50 years old, with brown and gray hair and was wearing a blue T-shirt.

Police said Boca Raton Fire Rescue and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are also involved in the investigation.
