PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — One man died and another was wounded after a shooting outside a bar near Palm Beach International Airport early Sunday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies and West Palm Beach police officers responded to shots fired in the vicinity of Foster's Shak, in the 2200 block of Belvedere Road near Congress Avenue, at about 1:40 a.m., sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said in a news release.
Deputies found evidence of a shooting, but no victims were located, Barbera said.
A short time later, deputies and officers learned that two men with apparent gunshot wounds were dropped off at a nearby hospital.
One died a short time after arrival and the second man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Barbera said.
Detectives were investigating the shooting as a homicide.
There was no immediate suspect, Barbera said.
A memorial with balloons has formed outside the business.
