The family of Alex Johnson is pleading for justice a year after the south Florida native was shot to death in his home.

Last Wednesday marked the one year anniversary of Johnson's body being found in his West Palm Beach apartment.

Johnson was 22-years-old when he was killed. Police haven't made any arrests in his homicide case yet. Detectives simply say the investigation is still active.

Now, a year after their loss, Johnson's family is taking action to try and help solve his murder.

"There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of him," said Johnson's cousin Pat. "There's not a day that goes by that i don't think of the person that did this."

Pat and his sister Tiffany want to remind the public that their cousin's killer is still on the loose. They say as of right now, they know nothing about the person who shot him.

"It's scary to know that people can get away with these things,"Tiffany said. "I mean it's scary that not enough, I feel, is being done to bring justice to Alex."

Crime Stoppers is offering $2,500 to anyone who comes forward with information that helps solve the case. Johnson's family has also set up a Go Fund Me account to raise another $2,500 and double the reward.

"We feel there's evidence out there, people that know," Pat said. "We feel that this would be a boost. Get people talking and get someone that knows what's going on."

As the siblings mourn a year without their cousin, the anniversary of his death fell just ten days before what would have been his 24th birthday.

"It'd be a great present," Pat said. "A great present for him if we could get some type of justice for him."
