Jurors will hear the fourth and final round of closing arguments Thursday, before being asked to decide if the Aurora movie theater shooting suspect should be put to death by lethal injection.
In the most recent phase of the process, prosecutors called 13 witnesses who tearfully spoke about the victims who were killed. Each of the 11 adult victims had a spouse, parent or sibling testify about their lives. The 12th and youngest victim, 6-year-old Veronica Moser-Sullivan, had both her mother and grandfather testify about her short life.
Attorneys will work with the judge and his staff through midday Thursday to finalize the jury's instructions for this round of deliberations and the verdict forms they'll use. Jurors themselves will arrive at 1 p.m.
