(NBC) - One person was hospitalized after a sport-utility vehicle slammed into a convenience store in Connecticut last week.
Security video from Sept. 1 shows the SUV backing up, and then suddenly the vehicle slams right into the store.
Police believe the driver accidentally pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake.
The clerk was struck by the vehicle, but according to police, was conscious and alert when he was taken to a local hospital.
The owner of the store described the clerk as an extended family member and says he was seriously injured, but expected to recover.
