(CNN NEWSOURCE) It was a busy week last week for TSA agents at U.S. airports.
The agency says agents confiscated a record 73 firearms from airline passenger carry-on bags last week.
All but five of the weapons were loaded.
Passengers who are caught trying to bring a weapon onto an aircraft could be fined up to $11 thousand.
Passengers can travel legally with a firearm but that weapon must be unloaded, in a lock box, packed in checked baggage, and approved ahead of time by the airline.
