VETERANS DAY — Wednesday marks Veterans Day, a day of thanks and recognition for the service of all military veterans. Veterans day is celebrated every year on Nov. 11, and coincides with Armistice Day, which marks the anniversary of the end of the World War I. Hostilities in the first World War ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month of 1918.

POLITICS — Another week, another debate. This time, the crowded Republican field will meet in Milwaukee. After a rough debate for the field two weeks ago in Colorado, the Republicans hope that the questions will be up to their standards, and the party hopes that a clear leader finally emerges.
Now considered the Republican front-runner, Dr. Ben Carson has spent the past week fighting off allegations that he has embellished some aspects of his personal life. Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina hope to pounce and level the field once again.
The debate will air on Tuesday at 9 p.m. eastern on Fox Business Network and can be viewed online at foxbusiness.com.
MUSIC — If you wake up to shrieks on Friday, don't be alarmed. That's just what happens to teenaged girls when One Direction and Justin Bieber release albums on the same day.
One Directions' album Made in the A.M. will be the first without founding member Zayn Malik, who left the band earlier this year. It will also be the band's final album before going on hiatus in 2016.
Bieber, fresh off probation after egging a neighbor's house, is releasing his fourth album Purpose, which includes singles "What Do You Mean?" and "Sorry."
WEIRD HOLIDAY OF THE WEEK — Saturday marks "National Pickle Day." Pickles have been part of American history since Christopher Columbus brought them with him in 1492, and today we eat more than 2.5 million pounds of them every year.
