A pizza chain has topped the list of consumers’ favorite quick-service restaurants for a second year.

Papa Murphy’s is the most popular in the pizza category, according to QSR, which reports restaurant industry news.

The report, based on a new national study from Market Force Information, shows Chipotle and Qdoba led in the Mexican food category. Chik-fil-A led for chicken and Jason’s Deli is top for sandwiches.

QSR said Market Force polled more than 12,700 consumers, asking them to rank their satisfaction with their last experience at a restaurant, and whether they'd recommend it to a friend.

The poll results also showed three convenience store brands ranked strongly in the quick-serve sandwich category — Wawa, Jimmy John's and McCalister's Deli. The three "clearly" outperformed Subway, QSR said.

QuikTrip, which is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the country's favorite convenience store chain, according to Market Force.
