(KSBW, CNN NEWSOURCE) Investigators say a woman found dead in her car at a California Walmart parking lot last week likely passed away months earlier.
Walmart employees found the body of 22-year-old Lauren Jessie Moss in her car February third in Salinas.
She was last seen alive in November, shortly after leaving a drug rehab center.
Her sister says Moss left a suicide note, and a drug needle was found in the car.
Police say the Salinas Walmart’s security footage only went back to December of last year.
But that December footage showed Moss's car in the parking lot.
Walmart says it does not patrol the lot overnight.
Police also say the car had dark-tinted windows and a sunshade, making it hard to find someone inside.
