LOVINGTON, N.M. — Police in New Mexico say a man called in a bomb threat to get his girlfriend out of work.
According to the Lovington Police Department, 26-year-old Aaron Gutierrez phoned in a threat on Feb. 25 at a Family Dollar store where his girlfriend worked.
Investigators said Gutierrez made the threat to get his girlfriend out of work so he could see her.
Gutierrez was arrested on April 15 on an unlawful bomb scare charge, a felony that could carry a maximum sentence of 18 months in jail.
