Two small aircrafts collided over the ocean off the coast near San Pedro, Calif. Friday night, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
According to the Coast Guard, it received initial notification from a bystander of a small aircraft entering the water at approximately 3 p.m. Pacific.
The Coast Guard said it immediately launched a 45-foot response boat from a nearby Coast Guard Station along with a MH-65 from Coast Guard Air Station to investigate, along with assets from several partner agencies.
