Newsweek's twitter account apparently hacked

It appears hacker group CyberCaliphate is at it again — this time the group has targeted the magazine Newsweek's twitter account.

The group claims to be associated with the ISIS terror organization. On Tuesday, an image similar to one that appeared on the twitter account of U.S. Central Command earlier this year appeared on the Newsweek twitter page.

It posted a series of tweets and replaced the images on the page, which by 11 a.m. Eastern Time appeared to have been removed.

When tweets were posted Jan. 12 to @CentCom, billed as "The official twitter for U.S. Central Command," they read "American soldiers, we are coming. Watch your back. ISIS."

Government officials said none of the information accessed by hackers was classified.
