A New York mother held one of her separated sons for the first time Friday afternoon.
The child, Jadon, is 13-months-old and started out life as a conjoined twin.
CNN reports that doctor's managed to remove his breathing tube after a 27-hour surgery earlier this month, separating him from his brother Anias.
Nicole McDonald's other son, Anias is recovering slowly after the surgery, so she and her husband have yet to hold him yet.
