Rapper Kanye West was in a Los Angeles-area hospital Monday evening a day after canceling his Saint Pablo Tour through New Year's Eve, according to a report from WNBC-TV.
According to a WNBC-TV source, Los Angeles police were dispatched on a medical welfare call at 1:20 p.m. The report says that there was no criminal activity involved, and that West was transported to the hospital for his own wellbeing.
West was being treated for "exhaustion," a source told CNN.
No official reason was given for West canceling his tour. His tour was slated to make 21 stops through New Year's Eve.
Kris Jenner, West's mother-in-law, said before the news leaked of the hospitalization that West was "really tired" according to Extra.
“He's exhausted, he's just really tired," she said. "He's had a grueling tour and it's been a grind so he just needs some rest.”
The incident comes following a bizarre week for West. West was booed at a concert last week for admitting that he would have voted for Donald Trump. Also at a show on Saturday in California, West abruptly left the stage after ranting for 17 minutes about Beyonce and Jay-Z.
