Hobby Lobby has issued a consumer safety recall on candles because they burn with a high flame.

The retailer says the recall involves DD branded candles sold in 5- and 12-ounce Mason jars, 10- and 20-ounce decorative jars, 13-ounce coffee tins and 13-ounce holiday-themed jars.

"The DD logo and the word Handcrafted are in raised letters on the front of the jars," according to Hobby Lobby. "The candle fragrance and size are printed on a hang tag attached to the mouth of the jars."

Hobby Lobby says the SKU number is on a label on the underside of each container. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has a list of the candles and SKU numbers online.

Consumers are urged to stop using the candles immediately and return them to Hobby Lobby stores. Customers with a receipt will be given a refund, and those without receipts will get store credit.

The CPSC says the manufacturer, CoScentrix, has received 29 reports of the surface of the candlesigniting, and nine reports of property damage. There has been one injury.
