There's just a whole bunch of fake news out there, and Google wants to help readers find the real stuff.
Earlier this week, the Internet giant launched a fact-checker feature to label Google N ews articles . The feature looks for markup in the source code , and it looks for those that follow common criteria for fact checks.
"We’re excited to see the growth of the Fact Check community and to shine a light on its efforts to divine fact from fiction, wisdom from spin," Google's announcement says.
Fact Check labels will be seen on Google News in both the U.S. and U.K.
