Gov. Rick Scott is bringing his plea for help fighting Zika to the nation's capital.

The governor is spending part of Tuesday and Wednesday talking to some of the biggest names on Capitol Hill about funding to fight the virus.
"This is not just a Florida issue," Scott told reporters Tuesday after meeting with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
Scott also met with Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the Governor plans to meet with members of Florida's congressional delegation. He also plans to meet with House Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
A bill calling for more than $1 billion to fight Zika has failed in congress multiple times already.
Senate democrats have blocked the bill over a prevision involving Planned Parenthood.
Scott singled out Florida Sen. Bill Nelson on voting against the bill last week.
"He turned his back on the people of Florida," Scott said.
Nelson said he feels optimistic about the chances of a bill passing this week.
Scott said the goal of his trip is to see something done about Zika this week.
There were 13 new travel-related cases of Zika virus reported in Florida Tuesday, including 8 in Miami-Dade, one in Escambia, one in Hillsborough, one in Manatee, one in Monroe and one in Seminole.
