For the daredevils: Rope bridge to be installed inches above aquarium's shark tank

An aquarium in northern Kentucky is testing patrons' courage.

Newport Aquarium plans to suspend a 100-foot rope bridge just inches above its legendary tank, which features 17 sharks of six different species, four rare and exotic shark rays, many stingrays and other assorted, less-deadly marine life.

In addition to the bridge, the aquarium will be adding another four or five scalloped hammerhead sharks to the tank. These bad boys, which are an endangered species, can grow to be 14 feet long ... probably big enough to take down a human (don't worry, they're fed well enough that they don't eat humans).

Daredevils will be able to cross the precarious path above the 385,000-gallon tank in mid-April.

The aquarium has other new additions to its exhibit lineup, including otters and lizards. It is located at One Levee Way in Newport, Kentucky, which is just across the river from Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
