BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol has identified one of its troopers who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Broward County over the weekend.
Trooper Arsenio Caballero is now recovering at home and getting better, FHP said.
The incident happened Saturday on the Florida Turnpike southbound on the exit to Hollywood Blvd.
FHP was looking for a white BMW 6 Series with a temporary tag. A spokesman said it was discovered abandoned.
Investigators are trying to track down the driver.
