Facebook announced Tuesday that you can share more than gossip, baby photos and smiley faces on Facebook. Soon you can send money.
The new payment feature works by tapping a “$” icon on the Facebook Messenger phone app and entering in an amount. It requires both giver and recipient to add a debit card.
The service is free, Facebook said in press release, and will be available in the coming months.
