<p>One of the world&#39;s most famous scientists, Stephen Hawking, says our planet has an&nbsp;<a href="http://www.express.co.uk/news/science/732606/Stephen-Hawking-end-of-the-world" target="_blank">expiration date</a>. Is the world going to end?
Famed professor Stephen Hawking thinks so. But don't worry. For those who believe Hawking, the theoretical physicist said he thinks humanity has 1,000 years to go.
Hawking was speaking at Britain's Oxford University Union when making the comments, according to Express.
“I don’t think we will survive another 1,000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet,” Hawking said.
Hawking said humanity's best chance is finding a new planet to inhabit. NASA has been searching the galaxy for places that humans could live since 2009.
