Actor Dick Van Patten, best known as the character Tom Bradford on the hit TV series "Eight is Enough," has died.
Van Patten died today in Santa Monica, California due to complications from diabetes.
Van Patten appeared on Broadway 27 times, according to IMDB.com. His Bradford character on "Eight is Enough" is considered to be one of the greatest TV dads of all-time, according to a list produced in TV Guide in 2004.
