ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis police say homicide detectives are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was accidentally shot to death while playing with his younger brother.
Police say Damian Holmes and his 9-year-old brother were playing alone at a home shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday when they found a gun and began playing with it. The gun discharged and hit Damian in the head. It's not clear which child fired the fatal shot.
Damian was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released his brother's name.
