At Stoneman Douglas High School, students spent their first full day in class since the tragedy.

"Brought back memories," said Junior Zach Hibshman.

A week after their return, students are back to learning and back to their schedules.

"Small curriculum. We didn't do too much, just getting back in the flow of things," said student Jonathan Blank.

Students also received a surprise visit.

"Something our school really needed," said Blank.

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade visited the students Wednesday.

"Just a great energy in the air, everyone went crazy," said Blank.

Hundreds of students packed the cafeteria.

"Really cool," said Hibshman.

A good remedy on what was another tough day.

"One big family. It happened to all of us and we're going to get through it together," said Blank.
