(NBC/WCNC) - The lights are back on for about 8,000 power customers in North Carolina following an outage earlier this week.
Electricity was knocked out late Monday when a truck hit a power pole knocking down lines.
But as reporter for NBC affiliate WCNC-TV was about to file a live report, a transformer behind her suddenly exploded and caught fire.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident and eventually power was restored to the area.
