(KWES/CNN) - A driver recorded cellphone video the moment a train slammed into a sheriff deputy's cruiser in Texas on Tuesday afternoon.
The video shows the Midland County sheriff's deputy waiting at a railroad crossing.
Once the train passes, the deputy turns on his sirens to respond to a call for a baby not breathing.
The video shows the vehicle attempting to cross the tracks but apparently did not not see a second train, which slammed into the deputy's car.
The deputy was able to get out of the car and walk around but was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
No word yet on his condition.
