(NBC) - Police in Texas released body camera video of a driver being rescued by officers after crashing into a lake over the weekend.

Witnesses called 911 around 6:30 a.m. Saturday after seeing a vehicle jump a curb and crash into a gator-infested lake in Sugar Land, Texas.

Three officers jumped into the lake, smashed out a window and pulled the woman to safety.

In the video, one officer can be seen already in the water near the vehicle as the officer wearing the body camera wades toward it.

The officers pulled the woman from the vehicle and helped swim her to shore, the vehicle then sank below the surface.

Police said the woman told officers she fell asleep at the wheel before losing control.

The woman was not injured in the incident and one officer was treated for minor cuts.

To make the situation even more scary, police said the lake is home to alligators and snakes.
